National security issues and the housing crisis exist across our societies. Neither issue can be addressed without changes to social attitudes, legislation, and other measures. Concerning national security matters, I prefer that adjustments are made without WW3 breaking out, which is highly unlikely. I don't understand the logic of military commanders who oppose or seek to gut reserve forces. A small and entirely regular (all volunteer - full-time) force would get knocked out in the first round of a conventional war. (Consider Russia making a move against a NATO member and China invading Taiwan). The other issue is that if the current ADF and NZDF are destroyed or cut off, no one will be left to train people who enlist for wartime service. #NewZealand #Nationalsecurity

🎙 The Security Space Podcast | Episode 49 | Simon Lang (ChCSP) | The Differences Between DF & IR In this episode of The Security Space Podcast, we’re joined by Simon Lang, Global Head of Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) at CyberClan. Simon dives into the key differences between digital forensics and incident response, explaining how and why these two separate entities are often mistakenly perceived as one complete issue. Simon unpicks DFIR as we zone in entirely on digital forensics, before transitioning over to incident response, before summarising the relationship between the two and why we now have the commonly used acronym - DFIR.
