Accessibility and sustainability go hand in hand. As a digital accessibility specialist, I've realized: Making your brand accessible → Reaching a wider audience → Spreading your sustainability message further. It's a win-win-win. For the brand. For the consumer. For the planet. Simple steps to start: • Add alt text to images • Use descriptive link text • Ensure color contrast meets WCAG standards Remember: An inclusive brand is a sustainable brand. How are you making your sustainability efforts more accessible? #DigitalAccessibility #InclusiveBranding

Culture Leads, Marketing Follows In today’s landscape, marketing success comes when it aligns with culture. From characters and fashion to music and norms, connecting with consumers in their language is key—yet misalignment can cause brands to fall out of favor. Around 80% of people globally make an effort to buy from brands that support causes they care about. But this doesn’t always translate to purchasing. Instead, consumers are increasingly “acting out” when brands fall short of their values. As we move into 2025, the risk of cultural misalignment is real. Brands must embed cultural awareness into their marketing strategies—not at the expense of their mission, but in sync with it. Is your brand ready for the challenge? #CulturalAlignment #Marketing2025 #BrandStrategy #ConsumerBehavior

Day 2 in Helsinki and no Sauna yet… but - Doesn’t it feel great when something you have been saying for a long time is given the limelight it deserves? 😍 What I mainly hear at the International News Media Association (INMA) Media Innovation Week conference Helsinki so far: Brand Brand Brand - we have a branding problem in the news. It impacts trust, it impacts reach, it impacts the bottom line. * You have to have strong brand values to work on if you really want to make an impact * You can’t make it all clickbait if you want to build trust - we need to think long term. * Authenticity and building trust does impact the bottom line. Engagement is the key to loyalty, people don’t pay for something they don’t use. * We need to think long term - click bait content and exaggerated headlines are impacting trust in the media. *We can’t transform our companies or bigger strategies without transforming the newsroom first. I have loved meeting everyone so far. And this evening, we are off to an island for dinner! Exciting!! 🏝 #mediasustainability #audienceengagement #Engagement #mediaengagement #ugcengagement #Mediasustainability

🌟 The allure of the artificial vs. the charm of real! 🌱 Consumer trends are shifting as we see a growing preference for authenticity over artificiality. Here’s what’s shaping the conversation: Sustainability Matters: More people are choosing real, ethically sourced products in food and fashion. 🌍 Quality Over Cost: While some opt for cheaper, artificial goods, many are willing to invest in high-quality, authentic items—especially in luxury markets. 💎 Health Focus: There’s a strong preference for natural ingredients in food and beauty, driven by health consciousness. 🥗 Craftsmanship Appreciation: Handmade and artisanal products are gaining traction, as consumers value the story and skill behind them. 🎨 Digital Influence: Social media plays a huge role, with influencers shaping perceptions around both authentic and artificial products. 📲 Artificial products will of course still have their place but the tide is turning toward brands that genuinely have a sustainability and authenticity story to tell.
