Busting the myth: Pregnancy is not a cure for endometriosis! 🚫 Many believe this misconception, but let me clear it up for you. Endometriosis, a disorder where tissue similar to the lining inside the uterus grows outside it, cannot be cured by pregnancy. Although some women may experience a temporary relief of symptoms during pregnancy, this does not mean the endometriosis is gone. It's crucial to understand this as we navigate our health journeys. Relying on myths can lead to delayed diagnosis and ineffective treatment. Empower yourself with accurate information, take control of your health, and live a life of ease, not disease. 💪🌱 Let's debunk more health myths together, DM me your questions or concerns. Many women struggle with a common misconception: that different life stages such as puberty, pregnancy, postpartum, peri-menopause, and post-menopause only affect the gonadal organs. Although we might acknowledge it’s more than that, we often minimize the significance of these changes, underestimating their impact. But the reality is profound. These stages involve significant hormonal fluctuations that impact the entire body and brain, leading to widespread transformation. We recognize this transformation during puberty when children evolve into teenagers. Yet, why do we overlook that similar significant changes recur throughout a woman’s life? During my upcoming talk at the @umaversity Event on Sunday, May 19th, in Amsterdam, I will discuss the impact of these stages on a woman’s body throughout her life. I’ll provide practical tools to optimize your overall health, empowering and sparking your curiosity about what’s to come. Get your tickets at umaversity.com/eventxl. #womenshealth #healthypregnancy #postpartumhealth #perimenopause #menopause #hormonalhealth #healthyhormones #estrogen #progesterone
