𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 How often do you scroll through social media or hear about an acquaintance's achievements and feel that instinctive twinge of inadequacy? The voice in your head saying "I should be further along by now" or "Why haven't I achieved that too?" We all compare ourselves to others at times. It often happens unconsciously. Someone appears to be smarter, more successful, more admired or farther along the culturally defined path of what constitutes "making it". Here is the key realization that finally allowed me to stop consuming myself with comparison: Every person's path is unique. We each have our own unique blend of strengths, interests, blessings and obstacles. Comparing your Chapter 5 to someone else's Chapter 20 is never an apples-to-apples comparison. When you see other people's external wins and status markers, you are viewing their carefully curated highlight reel. You do not see the long journey it took them to get there, the hard lessons along the way, or the times they felt equally disheartened looking at someone else's accomplishments. Rather than getting lost in discouragement, here are three thoughts that helped me appreciate my own winding path: 𝟭. 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Recognize the limitations of judging by external markers of status. Are you considering holistic well-being or just aspirational trophies? 𝟮. 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝘄𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲: Orient yourself towards fulfillment on your own terms. What constitutes a life well lived for you? What brings you meaning outside status? 𝟯. 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Your specific blend of strengths makes you well-equipped to impact the world in your own way. Appreciate that uniqueness. You have so much to offer that no one else can duplicate. The next time you catch yourself spiraling down the comparison rabbit hole, remember to run your own race and define success on your own terms. You are the only person who can achieve your particular purpose. Your path is worthy and wonderful because it is uniquely yours! ------------------------------------------ 📍 Follow: Chirag Thakkar↗ 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐀𝐏 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐒: https://lnkd.in/d4n29AJ8 📌⭐𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐀𝐏 𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐎 𝐓𝐈𝐏𝐒 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬(𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 14 𝐄𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 & 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐬 ): https://lnkd.in/d59HYQq7 📌⭐𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐎 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐀𝐆𝐄: https://lnkd.in/d_D72586 #india
