One-to-one meetings are a great way for members to get to know each other better and understand how to refer them with confidence.
Partner and Director at FT Chronic Pain Solicitors. Chronic pain and serious injury compensation expert.
Just had a great 1-1 with David (Kav) Kavanagh L.ISP a member of the Business Buzz - Local Business Networking, Bath and Business Growth Group, Melksham, this evening! Top bloke, we found a shared loved of wine, pets, the drums, and family….not necessarily in that order! Kav is a sales professional through and through, offering a fractional service, working with sales teams to improve performance! I have no doubt he’d get the best out of a sales people, with his in depth understanding of sales strategy but also the need for suitable training, without which the best product or service can fail. If your sales have slowed and you feel you might benefit from some of Kav’s expertise, look him up, you won’t be disappointed. #sales #businessowner #networking

Regional sales meetings can be both productive and fun! Our team ended the day with a delicious dinner in Hoi An. As we left the restaurant, it started raining, and we were quickly surrounded by umbrella ladies offering their wares. After some unsuccessful bargaining, we decided instead to seek shelter in a nearby cafe. But, as it turns out, a cup of coffee costs more than an umbrella! Fortunately, our team member Cat Ngo was quick to chase after the umbrella lady and secured us a better deal. Ten minutes later, the rain stopped. 😅 There are a couple of “sales lessons” in this episode. 1. Plan well and be there when the opportunity arises (they are literally squatting at every corner) 2. Be aware of your customer needs, and their alternatives (a cuppa next door) 3. Window of opportunity is limited (10 minutes of rain) 4. Don’t be afraid to walk away when the price is not right 5. Sometimes luck will drop from the sky 6. And being a businessman… Be the one to supply the umbrellas 😉 #salesisfun #beckhoffsea #sesame2023

So I'm going to share with you one of my favorite analogies when it comes to sales negotiations. I have used this time and time again over the past 30 years successfully with many clients. Whenever you read about hostage negotiation techniques there are three key techniques that can help guide you through a sales negotiation: 1) Proof of Life - when negotiating for hostages you need to know the hostages are still alive and so you ask for a proof of life. So too, when negotiating a deal you need to make sure the deal is still alive and the customer isn't just fishing for better pricing to use with a competitor or just gathering research. 2) Ask open ended questions and be empathetic - much like with hostage takers - you are trying to build a relationship and understand their motives, desires and yes their demands! 3) If the hostage taker wants you to meet a demand they need to trade you for it (usually releasing a hostage) as a show of good faith. This one tip has been the most influential. Many times I witnessed sales leaders offering up discounts, longer trials, free additional product and asking for nothing in return!! If I am giving something up like a discount, I am asking for something in return - a reference, a longer term, etc. Never leave empty handed!! This shows that what you are giving up has value. If you lop 50% off the price without resistance or asking for something in return that shows the customer that your product wasn't worth full price!! #sales #marketing #b2bmarketing #b2bsales #salesnegotiation

Acquire events are a tool for building long-lasting professional relationships that move the needle for your business. Historically, wine tastings focused on exactly that - wine and food. Today, they act as a #salestool to aid in the event's goal of bringing people to together to connect. Business growth/scaling & emerging market expert || IMC certified Management Consultant || I help Companies, MSMEs and startups scale & structure for profit saving them up to 5years of setbacks & pitfalls in business.
THIS IS HOW TO NEGOTIATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS AS A BUSINESS OWNER. I want to order a large batch of custom cakes for an event. A customer came into the bakery store to make an order. What's the details of the events and the specifications of your custom cakes? We would like to offer you our best custom cakes that will make your event standout. We are the best plug you can ask customer A about their event last week. You won't regret having us. Negotiating with customers can be challenging. However, it’s a vital part of running a successful food business. Here are some simple tips to help you build trust and secure favorable terms in your customer negotiations: Listen Actively: Ask about the event details, their specific requirements for the cakes, and their budget. Be Transparent: Explain the costs involved in making custom cakes and any limitations you might have with ingredients or time. Offer Value: Highlight the quality of your ingredients, your expertise in cake decoration, and any special touches you can add to make the cakes perfect for their event. Build Relationships: Share a personal story about a similar event you catered for and the positive feedback you received. Be Professional: Stay calm and collected, even if they try to negotiate a lower price aggressively. Be prepared with your pricing structure and cost breakdown. Negotiate Fairly: Offer a fair discount for the order, but ensure it’s still profitable for you. Propose a couple of package options that could fit their budget. Negotiating with customers doesn’t have to be stressful. This not only helps your business grow but also ensures a loyal customer base that values your integrity and quality. P.
