We wouldn’t let our neighbours dictate decisions inside our house. Then why do we go to work and let the competition dicate our pricing ? Always baffles me !

Unless you sell a commodity, I can't think of a time that I would ever bid on an opportunity that is LPTA (lowest price technically acceptable). But, that doesn't mean pricing isn't a huge factor in every opportunity. You don't want to price too high and move yourself out of contention AND you don't want to price too low leaving money on the table or at a price point that is not feasible to deliver. I love using the GSA eLibrary as a reference point to understand a competitor's standard rates. But, truly, that doesn't give me a real view of what they will price an opportunity at. If I'm ahead of the opportunity, I use Kyle and the team at Citrin Cooperman (formerly McNulty & Associates) to ensure we are priced competitively. They help with Price-to-Win (PTW) and they remind me every time that it is NOT an end-of-the-proposal activity. Whenever I haven't done a PTW exercise, I imagine myself ending up like the guy in this scene. Skip to the 3:00 minute mark if you have never seen this movie. And yes, this movie is based on a true story. #govcon #sellingtothegovernment https://lnkd.in/eWTUcwQc

Right as the shipping community was preparing for the ILA Port Strike across all gateways from Maine to Texas, the White House comes in and goes "hold my beer!" with their announcement on 'de minimis'. Before we go down the rabbit hole of what looks like just an announcement on 'de minimis' at this time, here is a video interview with the outgoing ILA President Harold Daggett, setting the tone for what's in store come Oct 1st 12:01 AM Over the course of the next few days, I plan to breakdown this video along with the other demands from the union leadership to help our customers prepare for what's coming. #Logistics Silq #PortStrikes #SupplyChain

Dear Mr Bullethead: Don’t despair. All is not lost. Your opinion and $5.45 will still get you a nitro cold brew at Starbucks. The market doesn’t care what you think. The law of supply and demand doesn’t follow imaginary lines on a map no matter how many times you regurgitate your socialist state idolatry. And neither does the law of gravity. Enjoy that nitro while you ponder a continent inhabited by indigenous ancestors, whose discovery was claimed by an Italian, named by a German, under Spansh charter. Which Americans did you mean? “America” refers to the entire landmass, encompassing 37 nations. The United States was named in the Declaration of Independence as “the united States of America,” (lower case “u”) emphasizing its location within the continent. Even in the Constitution, the name “the United States” underscores its connection to America. Referring to the United States alone as “America” is inaccurate, as it overlooks the diverse nations and peoples, such as Hawaiians, who are Pacific Islanders. The U.S. Constitution states the correct name of the country in its text: Section 1: Congress All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

Peter Rose · Shared with Public New essay free to read on Vocal Your essay has been published Congrats! Your essay Why Britain needs to retain its constitutional monarchy. has been published. Thank you for contributing to the Vocal community. View Story Why Britain needs to retain its constitutional monarchy. The British royal family under attack because it matters. Extracts-- In an ever-changing world, we all need some bedrock to stabilise ourselves, we need some form of baseline, a belief or feeling that we can use to compare all else against. We all unconsciously view everything, and form every opinion, by comparison to the baseline. It is almost always unconscious, but our unconsciousness is condition by experience, training, and conditioning. Sometimes there remains an “intuitive” understanding, one not based on actual remembered experience but from some much deeper understanding. ------ As noted above the crown may not have actual power but if the national constitution is threated it could raise public awareness and focus attention. This is why the republican socialist strive so hard, and though such devious means, to destroy the British constitution. ---- The link is https://lnkd.in/gNE6eRN If link not work please copy and paste to browser
