My first data analyst role required 3+ years of analytics experience. I read the description and while it said that, I applied anyway. So you might think, why would I apply for something I wasn’t “qualified” for? To be honest, I read the description and felt I could 100% do that job. That’s it. Companies set these years of experience standards up and most of the time, it’s nowhere near what it accurately should be. Don’t skip over an application because you don’t think you fit that one criteria. If you truthfully feel like you can do the job, apply for the dang job.
That's a lovely suggestion, Chris French
Sometimes entry level job description do causes imposter syndrome.
Well said !!
You dont have to match the criteria 100 percent
100% agree! If you know you can do the job, apply anyway.
Honestly, this is a great way to get fired 😅, but sometimes it helps you achieve more than you expect. Chris French
It's really the right approach, it's important to know how to evaluate the description realistically aligned with your profile.
Exactly Chris French If you think you can do the job go for it even if you don't meet all the requirement
I agree
