Nostalgia… Memories linger; it seems like yesterday, Lessons learned, promises made— Both about studies and life beyond. Exams cleared, some on re-attempts, The bustle in the classroom on submission days, Not just for end-of-semester assignments, But for completing lab workbooks each week. Begging the class rep to get extensions approved For vivas, midterms, and even final exams. The last-minute teaching spells from classmates, The buzz of voices, the nervousness on faces, Just before the final exam, Right in front of the department door. Competing among sections about which was better, Gossiping about each other—and the teachers too. Hustling for sessional marks, Finding ways to secure full marks before the exam, Frustrated teachers threatening consequences— Never did we take them seriously. The presentations we gave in class, The joy of spirited arguments, Presenting our philosophies, Discussing ideologies, New topics and ideas emerging, Moments spent in unknowing bliss. As I look back today, To my time at NED, I can’t help but feel blessed To have been a part of this university. I never wanted to choose electronics, But this path was chosen for me, And it has undoubtedly brought me To where I stand today, Proudly saying, “I am an Electronic Engineer From NEDUET.” P.S: the memories awoke the poet in me 🙈 #electronic #electronicsengineer #ned #neduet #phd #phdstudent

Same here! Victoria Day for me is appointment filled. My clients work hard and use their downtime to meet and reflect. Hard work + persistence = success. *Disclaimer; Please be advised that the above formula may or may not work out for you with the same results. Regardless, it is still worth pursuing it and working hard to accomplish. #Hardwork #businessowners #Life #investing #Financialadvice #Properplanning

Pet cats and dogs offer reciprocally healthy relationships — many owners describe them as somewhat symbiotic — particularly for those suffering physical and/or mental illness. It’s the pet's many qualities, especially its non-humanly innocence, that makes losing it someday such a heartbreaking experience. Yet, in the case of cats at least, human apathy, the throwaway mentality/culture and even a bit of public hostility toward them typically result in population explosions thus their inevitable neglect and suffering, including severe illness and starvation. With the mindset of feline disposability, it might be: ‘Oh, there’s a lot more whence they came’. It’s likely that only when their over-populations are greatly reduced in number through consistent publicly-funded spay/neuter programs, might these beautiful animals’ potentially soothing, even therapeutic, presence be truly appreciated rather than taken for granted or even resented. Until then, cats likely will remain beautiful yet often misunderstood, prejudged and unjustly despised animals. … Along with human intelligence comes the proportionate reprehensible potential for evil behavior, i.e. malice for malice’s sake. While animals, including cats and dogs, can react violently, it is typically due to reactive distrust/dislike. But leave it to humans to commit a spiteful act, if only because we can. With our four-legged friends there definitely is a beautiful absence of that undesirable distinctly human trait. (SIDE NOTE: It’s hard not to notice how unusually nice people with, for example, Down Syndrome are — all to their credit, of course — when compared to the average and high(er) IQ population. I doubt it’s coincidental. It brings to mind a really beautiful movie I once had the pleasure of watching, starring Harrison Ford, titled Regarding Henry. And, of course, there's I Am Sam, with a talented-as-usual Sean Penn.)
A loving, moving coexistence... 🐶 💕 🐱

Depending on the project St Barbara's Day is observed in different ways. For some its business as usual, other will stop all work and take time to celebrate St Barbara's the patron saints of tunnelers and travellers. It is also a time to remember those who gave there lives building these tunnels all over the world. We should also remember all those who have made tunneling safer and more efficient, reducing the risk of injury or fatalities over all.
