Good news, bad news. Bad news first: #Veterans die by suicide at a rate twice as much as the general public. It’s an ongoing crisis that impacts nearly every community, including here in Northeast Florida. Good news: a community-based approach is making a difference. For the 3rd straight year, Veteran suicides in Northeast Florida were once again more than 25% below 2019 numbers. That far outpaces civilians here and throughout the state. A big reason why? 4moThis is awesome and so good to hear. I had a friend who was in the Army kill himself in front of me many many moons ago. I wish there was a group like this back then. Can't wait till one day there will be no veteran suicides at all.
