A recent study by (Zou et al 2023) draws on key factors we can control as educators. Teachers’ own intrinsic motivation towards teaching showed significant positive correlation on students intrinsic motivation. Additionally, the relationship between student and teacher impacted learners intrinsic motivation. These are all reasonable conclusions we could jump to prior to the study. However, this study does act as a reminder that our own individual passion to learn, improve and intrinsically motivate ourselves can significantly impacts learners’ outcomes. Have a great week Ross!
