New spotlight on PROSOCO, Inc. R-Guard high performance air barrier technologies hitting our YouTube channel. Take a look... For us in the Midwest, you may think you don’t need something so robust, but consider the number of strong storms recently and year after year. So many of the envelope products we see being used today are only tested to meet industry standard minimums, 75 pascals of pressure which is equivalent to 25mph winds. We know many air barrier materials begin to show failure with nominal increases in wind-driven rain. I think many would agree any product exposed to its limits will get weaker and weaker each time it is exposed to its limits, it certainly isn’t going to get stronger. R-Guard high performance STP technologies (Cat5, FastFlash, Joint & Seam Filler) have been tested to perform well beyond 25 mph with proven performance in storms exceeding 150mph.
