But we have a beer fridge... 🙈 😂 Over the last 15 years I have worked with some of the best and most exciting AI and SaaS businesses in the world, most have awesome cultures, kick ass benefits, interior designed offices, remote or hybrid working (post covid), great career progression and so on. All these things are great and help but if they underpay market rate and/or don't have a great comms scheme, then top sales talent just wont be interested! It doesn't matter how many beer fridges or roof gardens they have. Having a strong equity offering can help move the needle, but still great sales talent are used to earning mega bucks. Across other areas of the business and other roles there might be more appreciation for these things but sales people are in sales to make money. A personal favourite is when the salary is offered is light but it is okay because there is free fruit available in the kitchen... 🙈😅
