It was 16 years ago that I started my career at Lee & Associates under the tutelage of Clif Fincher and Allen Buchanan. Both taught me many valuable lessons so that I could build a sustainable business, helping owners and occupants of Industrial Properties in Southern California with their real estate strategy development and implementation. Here are four lessons that Clif Fincher passed down from his mentor and local Mid Counties legend, Joe Maiolo, that will help keep you going. 1. There is a desk and a phone, and that is where you make money (on the phone). 2. Talk to THREE (3) NEW people a day about real estate (and you will be busy). 3. People are going to look you straight in the face and lie to you. Get over it, and MOVE ON. 4. Share everything you are working on with those around you, especially with fellow agents. Share it free of charge (it will come back). Enjoy the journey, with your eyes on the end of the road.

9mo#2 is key. Mine is 10 outbound calls, but I like the idea of talking to 3 new people, because that is the goal with calls other than setting a meeting which it isn't always time for...Baby steps every day! 👏
