Senior product owner at Admiral Group Plc

Today marks 20yrs since I first walked through the doors of Capital tower to begin my #Admiral journey. Some highlights from those 20yrs include: - Meeting my wife and building a family (Would be in a lot of trouble if I didn't mention this first! 😂). - Being part of the Multicar launch sales team. - Joining the Household sales department shortly after launch, helping grow the department and get it in a place where it could smoothly merge with motor sales. - Being one of the first teams to start selling Multicover, along with helping to drive the future of Multicover sales through various trials in how we deliver this fantastic product to customers. - Taking my TM experience to our Newport sales office as a Lead TM and introducing new ways of working to support the department in realising it's full potential. - Making the jump after 16yrs to leave call centre operations, move into the online team and join the world of product owners. - Delivering upgrades to our Multicar and Multicover online journeys to enhance our customers online Multi experience. - Moving into a Lead PO role, taking what I had learned about being a PO to help coach and mentor incoming members of a rapidly growing team. - More recently, taking on the challenge of the Product Lead role for our newly formed motor ART and helping to drive our first ever PI planning event! During my time at the Product-Led Summit this week, I heard from multiple people in the product community, almost all of which had worked for multiple companies during their careers. When asked why this was, the majority cited that they moved in order to find a new challenge. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to work for a company that continually presents opportunities to take on new challenges, actively encourages learning & development and provides a safe space for me to put what I have learned to the test. It's not rocket science to understand why Admiral was recently ranked 13th best workplace in the #WorldsBestWorkplaces (6th in UK's version) and consistently appears in these lists (23 years in a row on the UK GPTW list!). Feeling thankful for this #workmilestone and can't wait to see what challenges the next 20yrs will bring 😊
