As the school year begins, we also start the busiest time in our organization: recruitment. One of things that people always ask me is why they should sign up for scouting. Here is what I tell them: 1. Leadership Development: Teaching youth to lead with confidence. 2. Outdoor Adventures: From camping to hiking, nature becomes the classroom. 3. Community Service: Instilling the importance of giving back. 4. Fun and Learning: Activities that combine education with excitement. I can't wait to welcome so many new families into Scouting and watch as our units put on a program that develops young people into the future leaders of our community! We were hosted by Rachael Bice who shared with Darren Tiffney the plans for Yorkshire Wildlife Trust so the group could work with them on their plans.
