Side loading a hoist is all too common in the overhead lifting industry. That's why we designed the Crane Sentry® Hoist Side Pull, which is capable of detecting excessive side pull on a wire rope hoist and can be set to alert an operator of the condition or disable functions. Explore how it can help you avoid side loading: https://loom.ly/LZY685E

We're going old school today with a Throwback Thursday - remember those?! It's an excuse for us to say a big THANK YOU to Overhead Crane & Hoist (OCH) Magazine for publishing our warning about unsafe use of eyebolts for non-standard lifts. We cannot keep stating this enough: make sure you're using the correct eyebolts! While a sling and some hooks are usually suitable for a standard lift with easy connections such as a shackle and welded eye or plate, a non-traditional lift like a large motor or a flat gear can be much more challenging. In these cases, AMH recommends rotating hoist rings, as they are specifically designed to lift from the focal point and keep the load centered - traditional eyebolts can tend to sideload. Elevating construction and logistics with mobile cranes solutions | Sales Support Manager at Sarens | LEED Professional
Mobile crane lifting capacity is like a car's horsepower – it signals potential, not the everyday load it manages. While a 50-ton crane theoretically hoists 50 tons, practical scenarios are shaped by various factors: 1️⃣ Boom Length and Load Radius 2️⃣ Counterweights and Crane Configuration 3️⃣ Terrain and Environmental Conditions 📊 That's why crane manufacturers provide load charts as navigational guides for lifting operations. These charts meticulously outline lifting capacities based on boom length, load radius, and specific configurations. Understanding and following these charts are crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the crane. ✔ When choosing the right crane for your operation, I'm here to help! 🤝 #mobilecrane #ChooseRightCrane #sarens #liftingoperations #liftingindustry #ConstructionInsights #liftingsolutions
