The purposes of fabric singeing are as follows: I. Improve appearance Remove fuzz: Unsinged fabric usually has fuzz of different lengths on the surface, making the fabric look less smooth and flat. Singeing can quickly burn off these fuzz, making the fabric surface smoother and greatly enhancing the appearance quality of the fabric. For example, in making high-end shirts or dresses, the smooth fabric surface can give people a refined and elegant feeling. Improve color vividness: The fuzz on the fabric will scatter light, making the color look less bright and pure. After singeing, the light can be reflected more evenly, thus making the fabric color more vivid and full. For some brightly colored fabrics such as red and blue, the effect after singeing is particularly obvious. II. Improve performance Increase the smoothness of the fabric: The singed fabric surface is more flat. In the subsequent processing processes such as printing and coating, it can better combine with other materials and improve the processing quality. For example, when printing, the smooth fabric surface can make the printing pattern more clear and delicate. Reduce pilling: The fuzz on the fabric surface is easy to entangle with each other during friction and form pilling. Singeing can remove these fuzz that are easy to pill, thus reducing the pilling problem of the fabric during use. Especially when making clothing that is often rubbed, such as coats and pants, singeing treatment can improve the durability of clothing. Improve the dimensional stability of the fabric: The existence of fuzz will affect the tightness of the warp and weft yarns of the fabric, resulting in easy deformation of the fabric during washing and drying. After singeing, the fabric structure is tighter and the dimensional stability is better. For some clothing that requires precise dimensions, such as suits and uniforms, singeing treatment is an essential link. The #manufacturing #process for #textiles can vary depending on the type of textile being #produced, but here's a general overview: 🐑🐑Fiber Production: Textiles start with fibers, which can be natural (like cotton, wool, silk) or synthetic (like polyester, nylon). Fibers are either harvested (in the case of natural fibers) or produced through chemical processes (in the case of synthetic fibers). ♻️♻️Preparation of Fibers: Fibers are cleaned, sorted, and often blended to achieve desired characteristics like strength, texture, or color. Spinning: The fibers are spun into yarns. This can be done through various methods, including ring spinning, open-end spinning, or air-jet spinning. Weaving/Knitting: Yarns are woven on looms or knitted on machines to create fabric. Weaving involves interlacing two sets of yarns (warp and weft), while knitting involves interlocking loops of yarn. 🌈🌈Dyeing/Printing: Fabric may be dyed to add color, using various dyeing methods such as piece dyeing, yarn dyeing, or garment dyeing. Printing can also be done to add patterns or designs onto the fabric. ✅✅Finishing: This step involves treatments to enhance the fabric's properties, such as softening, waterproofing, or adding flame retardants. Finishing can also include processes like calendering (smoothing the surface), brushing (raising surface fibers), or embossing (creating textures). 🙋♂️🙋♂️Quality Control: Throughout the manufacturing process, quality control measures ensure that the fabric meets standards for strength, colorfastness, and other criteria. 🕵️♂️🕵️♂️Cutting and Sewing: Once the fabric is ready, it can be cut into pieces according to a pattern and then sewn together to make garments, home textiles, or other products. 📦📦Packaging and Distribution: The finished products are packaged and prepared for distribution to retailers or consumers. This is a simplified overview, as each step can involve intricate processes and technologies tailored to the specific requirements of the textile being produced. #Textile #Apparels #Hoodies #Sweatshirt #polo #tshirt

#Sock Manufacturing #Knowledge Series #Episode 1 Yarn Manipulation - Weaving The art of weaving is an age-old technique that has woven its way into various aspects of human history, including the world of socks. Dating back centuries, weaving initially involved handlooms meticulously operated by skilled artisans. Early socks were often rudimentary, made from animal hides or simple textiles. As societies evolved, so did weaving techniques, and the integration of weaving into sock production marked a significant turning point in the history of footwear. The advent of mechanization in the weaving process marked a turning point in sock production. Handlooms gave way to intricate weaving machines that transformed the landscape of textile craftsmanship. Advanced looms, equipped with intricate mechanisms, emerged as the architects of intricate sock patterns and textures. Then, we come to the general threads of socks making: #YarnSelection: The weaving journey begins with the choice of yarns. From natural fibers like cotton and wool to synthetic marvels like polyester and nylon, each yarn selection determines the sock's texture, breathability, and durability. #WarpandWeft: These twin threads of weaving are the foundation. The warp threads form the vertical structure, acting as the canvas. Weft threads interlace horizontally, weaving patterns and textures that embrace your feet. #LoomsandMerchanism: The modern weaving machines incorporate an orchestra of mechanisms. From controlling thread tension to orchestrating intricate patterns, these machines are the maestros of sock creation. The impact of weaving machines is tangible in the sheer numbers. Hundreds, even thousands of socks can be woven within a day, showcasing the prowess of mechanization. The combination of precision, speed, and variety ensures that the socks that grace your feet are a testament to both craftsmanship and technological advancement. #sock #manufacturing #business #foreigntrade #weaving #TrueBauty #yarn #material

FLEECE FABRIC : Characteristics: Texture: Soft, fluffy, and smooth on both sides. Warmth: Provides excellent insulation, making it suitable for cold weather. Weight: Lightweight yet warm. Stretch: Can have good stretch depending on the knitting process. Moisture Wicking: Often has moisture-wicking properties, making it useful for activewear. There used 3 threads in the fleece fabric production. They are used as (KBL) KNIT, BINDER and LOOP. COTTON is used for the KNIT POLYESTER is for the BINDER BLENDED COTTON (PC = Polyester Cotton) is for the LOOP. It differs as per buyers choice. For all the fabric production we know that if we increase the diameter of VDQ pulley then the yarn supply increases as a result loop length gets bigger so GSM decreases. But for the LOOP yarn of the fleece fabric, Increase in VDQ pulley diameter increases GSM. LOOP yarns legs remain in certain area but only heads gets bigger. LOOPS are visible in the Technical Back of the fabric. Anik Mahamud Robin Department of Fabric Engineering Student Sheikh Kamal Textile Engineering College, Jhenaidah.
