There are many things to keep in mind to maximize your odds of success at a job fair. Here are the twelve most important ones.

Remember, as a candidate attending a job fair, you want to express what you know about the company, where you’d fit in, and what you can do to help them. Ask insightful questions about the company’s vision and growth. This means checking out the list of companies that will be there. Target ones you’re interested in. Study their site, make LinkedIn connections in advance of attending. Seek them out at the fair. Or better yet, contact them in advance and ask them who will be there to meet? Get the name of the person with whom you speak. You got this! Avoid attending and simply passing out your resume and asking them to tell you about their company.
