Christofle is pleased to participate in the round table discussion at #mindRetailDay on “Repair, Second Life, Rental: How Are Operational Models Pivoting Towards More Circularity?” Moderated by Sophie Baqué from mind Retail, Marie KENNEL, Innovation and CSR manager at Christofle, joined the discussion and shared insights: “We started by testing our customers' interest in this proposition with our vintage products. Due to the success and high demand, we decided to accelerate our efforts. Sourcing is a key issue: in just 6 months, we've repurchased over 800 pieces.” Learn more about the Maison’s commitment to sustainability and explore La Collection Vintage at https://lnkd.in/e_5SRsJn #Christofle

Where should a brand start when it comes to sustainability? “It’s all well and good, putting these manifestos – by 2030, we want to do X, Y and Z, but that’s not achievable all at once. And I think the consumer is open to that sort of situation. They understand that changes can’t be made overnight. I think the most important thing is just being transparent.” Watch the video to hear Glendean Rehvan, Researcher and Director of Innovation at In-Trend LTD, expand on the importance of transparency at last year’s Luxe Pack in Monaco. #ConsumerInsights #Sustainability #Paperboard #LuxePack #HolmenIggesund

Sustainability has become an important aspect of brand identity, as brands and consumers alike are recognising the importance of planet-friendly behaviours. With this comes the evolution of bio materialism in design, materials that are made of biological systems, and can return to the earth as such. Constantly casting our eyes over innovative happenings in our industry, over the next week we’ll be sharing our top spots, showcasing the places we’re seeing biomaterials used in retail and design. Starting with MONC Eyewear’s flagship store in Marylebone, London. Incorporating biomaterials such as mycelium (the root like structure of fungi), corn-starch foam and water-based sealant in its striking design. Created with circularity in mind, every element has the capacity to be reused, is re-used, or can return to earth as a source of nourishment. From the display plinths made of mycelium to the body length mirrors which rest on concrete breezeblocks salvaged from nearby roadworks. The space embodies circular luxury. #circulareconomy #leavenoonebehind The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute is leading the way towards a sustainable future. Their vision of a circular economy, where safe materials and products are designed, manufactured, and reused, is a game-changer for businesses wanting to reaffirm their environmental awareness, business acumen and social responsibility. By adopting the principles of the Circular Economy, businesses have an opportunity to optimise their materials whilst giving their products an increased level of credibility in the eyes of their customers. This means that #innovation and #disruption don't always require new inventions, but rather new ways of producing and consuming the things we already have and love. The companies featured in this book are representative of varying industries, yet united in celebrating their commitment to doing things differently to ensure a #sustainablefuture for ALL! This means that YOU also have the power to incorporate sustainability approaches in your daily business. YOU can also participate in the Circular Economy by simply (re)thinking your production processes to future-proof your business. Napapijri, a VF Company L'Oréal Henry Rose TRIGEMA W.
