It bears repeating. The Applied count on Linked In jobs is a simple click count script. It shows how many people have *clicked* on the button, not how many have actually applied. LinkedIn, it might be time to update your code. — Thanks Michelle Bocklage and Justin Holsomback for the reminder :) #jobsearch #jobhunting #applications #apply

Sr. Technical Recruiter @ SmarterDx | I work to support my Corgis Carl and Bill's extravagant lifestyles

I recently posted a 100% remote, promoted job on LinkedIn: 1️⃣ The public posting stated that 500+ people applied, the actual number was ~200 2️⃣ I added a couple of very quick questions to the application form as the role required a couple of specific experience points, and ~half of those 200 didn’t bother to fill them out 3️⃣ Out of those remaining, only ~5-7% had relevant experience So if you were qualified for the role we posted, you weren’t competing against 500+ people, you were competing against less than 10 (all of whom were scheduled for a recruiter screen). 👍 Apply if you’re qualified 📢 #hiring #hiringtoptalent #recruitmentlife #recruiterlife #dogsatwork #coworkersbelike #recruiters #remotejob #remotehiring #jobsearching #interview #talent #peoplefirst #employeeexperience #newbeginnings #newbeginnings2024 #jobalert
