This is a good video showing how “long-life” CRCP (continuously reinforced concrete pavement) can be efficiently deployed on interstate highway upgrades. Productivity, fewer maintenance cycles, superior overall performance… INDOT has been building CRCP on portions of the system in Indiana lately… South Split 2013, North Split 2021-23, I-69 finish line (I-465 Interchange south), and ClearPath (I-69/465 interchange northeast). #improvepavementperformance #durablereliablevalue #concretepavement

Construction Forensic Analyst/Expert in CPM Scheduling, Labor Dynamics, and Cost Mitigation Strategies in Changing Markets
The Francis Scott Key Bridge over the Patapsco River in Maryland is expected to take years and cost hundreds of millions of dollars to rebuild. The shipping channel from the Port of Baltimore, a major economic engine for the city, could be cleared in months. Federal officials have pledged to support the effort, but there is a difference of opinion on whether a bridge can be built to take a blow from a 100-million-ton freighter like the one that felled the Key Bridge. The Coast Guard's priority now is restoring the waterway for shipping, including stabilizing the Dali and removing it from the Patapsco. The cost of rebuilding the bridge is estimated to be well into the hundreds of millions, and there is likely to be debate around the structure of the new structure. Baltimore could see a new Key Bridge within 2½ years, a breakneck speed compared to the standard timetable for building similar bridges. The project could take several years, with funding being crucial. As the new bridge is designed, experts suggest planners should examine ways to prevent future collisions. New guidance from the National Transportation Safety Board may recommend engineers reexamine older bridges and build new protective structures if needed. Some states are building protection systems around vital bridges, such as the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
