Whiskey Wednesday Recap: Such a wonderful group to voice interesting trends and help scratch intellectual curiosity. Yesterday afternoon we discussed a theme that seems to be circulating: "Are Benefit packages focused on offerings that "sound good" but not widely used." Seductive to think an easy solution is to just tell each teammate "you have X number of dollars to spend on benefits and we can offer a wide array of traditional and auxiliary benefits to choose from." We all know its infinitely more complicated but how do we make it not so? Whiskey for the day:

When people ask why PM Spirits calls itself the ‘provider of geeky spirits,’ I tend to say it’s not just a tagline that tries to sound cool — it’s a reflection of how we operate. The first time I tasted the Pere Labat 59% rum, I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy sell. It’s not a product that flies off the shelves with no explanation. You have to sit down with someone, tell them the story of Marie Galante, how sugarcane dominates the island, and how everything about that rum is rooted in its place of origin. Most people aren’t ready for that level of info/depth, but the ones who are—they get hooked. That’s what ‘geeky spirits’ are. They’re the ones that require some efforts to understand, but when you do, they stay with you. It’s not about following trends or finding what’s popular; it’s more about finding what’s true/real.

Loose on the Internet's weekly beer review always ends with the same question: Would I buy it again? That question becomes moot when the beer is no longer available, but it gives us a chance to use the word moot, which is one of those fun words that doesn't come up very often. Like pancreas ... or Sheboygan ... or fubsy. Still, a beer review is kind of pointless without the beer, so maybe you can find The Bruery's White Oak at a yard sale or on eBay. Here's what Loose on the Internet would do: https://lnkd.in/evK53w6n

The Tin “Cheers for the brotherhood.” “Cheers for success.” “Toast for your loved ones.” “For happily ever after.” “Cheers for more.” One of the most beautiful words to hear is "cheers,” and what else is better than beers? Haha! And that rhymed. While we know there are toasts made with other drinks, the beer cheers is always special. Sometimes going out with your pals for a beer can bring in the most luxurious conversations of all time, more than a coffee. When you have a couch and if there are lazy bums, there are crazy ideas that come in, and then when it kicks in, you have a bash of fun. Sometimes they are also used while having intellectual talks while the tin keeps rolling in. You see, the red and white tin is so attractive that it tempts me to clash like Stone Cold Steve Austin. Tag your beer mate and dedicate this toast. Because every tin that’s cracked open always has a lot of untold stories. Note: Drink responsibly. Alcohol has it's own cons! #Productdesign #thepixelcompany #branding #marketing #culturebasedmarketing #brandtalks #beer #cheers
