Happy to share our latest publication, "Respiratory Therapists' Knowledge and Attitudes on Safe Ventilator Management in MRI Units: A Cross-Sectional Study," in the Saudi Critical Care Journal. This research was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Hassan Hawsawi, PhD, Mr. Mosaab Alrefaei, and the radiography interns from King Abdullah Medical City: Ghadi Alahmadi, Raniya Alzahrani, Assala Mohammed, Eyad Sendi, Abdullah Almfrege, and Aisha Mohammed.
Our study highlights significant knowledge gaps in MRI safety among respiratory therapists in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the pressing need for well-structured training programs and ongoing professional development initiatives. These efforts are essential to ensure patient safety and optimize care in MRI environments.

We’re thrilled to share some phenomenal feedback and testimonials from attending doctors. To ensure genuine and unbiased opinions, we brought in a third-party videographer and interviewer. This allowed doctors to speak freely about their learning experience without any ECAMS members hovering over them.
The result? Incredible insights and heartfelt testimonials that reflect the unique, unbiased, evidence-based training we provide. Our program is designed to elevate skills through scientific methods rather than product-focused training. This approach not only broadens perspectives but also prioritizes safety in practice.
To make this a success, we collaborated with suppliers such as Merz aesthetics and TSK lab who share our vision and mission, further enhancing the quality of our training.
A massive thank you to our 8 dedicated faculty members and the 40 participating doctors for helping us raise the standards in aesthetics and putting the focus back into “patient’s safety comes first”.
ECAMS Faculty:
Dr. Nabila Azib, Dr. Shady Ismail, Dr. Nasser Madi, Dr. Kristina Davidovic, Dr. Rosalia Luketina, Dr. Alice Prethima, Dr. Danilo De Gregorio, Dr. Christine Walravens
🌟Remember, true expertise shines when applied ethically and effectively. 🌟

Exciting Learning Opportunity!
I recently had the privilege of attending a workshop on Focal Shockwave Therapy at Aspetar, Qatar’s leading sports medicine hospital. The session, titled "Focal shockwave therapy—what works, what doesn’t work, and what might work? A chart review of 3004 consecutive patients seen at Aspetar," provided an in-depth look at the practical applications and outcomes of this innovative treatment.
It was an invaluable experience to learn from expert clinicians and explore the complexities of this therapy, which has significant potential for treating musculoskeletal conditions. Looking forward to applying these insights to future clinical practice! 💡

Our first keynote at #METC2024 was given by Dr. Sanjay Desai, the Chief Academic Officer for the American Medical Association (AMA) and Professor at Johns Hopkins Medicine. His presentation explored precision education and the future of lifelong learning in medicine.
Dr. Desai's talk focused on the barriers to continuous learning, explored the conceptual model of precision education, and discussed how current innovations are relevant to future learning.
We thank Dr. Sanjay Desai for his valuable participation in this first edition of the Medical Education Technology Conference by Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar#METC2024#Medicine#Healthcare#InnovationinHealth#Qatar#Medicaltechnology

We’re committed to advancing medical education by bringing world-class simulation solutions to Australian institutions. Together with Adelaide Health Simulation, we’ve equipped their training center with top-tier ultrasound simulation tools like Vimedix, helping medical students develop point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) skills from their earliest years in study.
By incorporating practical POCUS training, students can practice bedside assessments, identify pathologies, and gain diagnostic confidence. This combination of real equipment and innovative simulators enables Adelaide Health Simulation to create a realistic, impactful learning environment.

In part two of this interview, Dr. Longino, a hospitalist researcher, and Dr. Riscinti, an emergency medicine physician—both from Denver Health—explore the future of the VExUS (Venous Excess UltraSound) exam. We discuss ongoing and future research, emerging applications, and strategies to expand the accessibility and adoption of this important tool.
During this engaging discussion, we share ideas on how to “democratize VExUS” and make it a routine part of patient care.
