Learn about the importance of stylus ball cleaning 🎓 A clean stylus ball on a CMM probe or Equator™ gauging system is key to achieving repeatable metrology results. Contaminant build up on the stylus ball from general use (especially when scanning) can lead to poor metrology results. In order to combat this, frequent inspection and cleaning of the stylus ball is a must to ensure that results are as accurate as possible. Build up can be a combination of contaminants and debris from a number of sources such as grease from handling, dust, oxides or protective oil lifted from the part under inspection. Typically, dirt should be cleaned from a stylus ball as often as possible to reduce the risk of metrology being affected. If you have any questions, please add them in the comments ⬇️ Let’s ensure that your measuring results are as accurate as possible 👍 For all your precision styli, visit our Online store ➡️ https://bit.ly/3OTELPB #CMMinspection #metrology #applyinnovation #renishaw

Exciting new technique from Kruss! Webinar to be announced soon, until then you can read more about Stood-Up Drop in the link!
We like to unveil the Stood-up Drop, an alternative method for determining the recently receded contact angle (RRCA) and perfect for technical dewetting analysis. The Stood-up Drop method offers you the following advantages: ➡ Adequacy: Describes de-wetting with the help of the RRCA that does correlate better to dyne ink tests. ➡ Significance: The Stood-up Drop widens the scale as it points out the measured adhesion force clearer than the recently advancing contact angle. It is a strong indicator of surface changes and has never been found to be inferior to the more common sessile drop. ➡ Reproducibility: Smallest non-dynamic contact angle, user-independent. ➡ Safety: No harmful substances used, making it safer than test inks. ➡ Versatility: Can supplement or replace other surface test methods. 🚀 Enhance your quality control processes with the precision and speed of the Stood-up Drop. Learn more about how this method can enhance your processes: https://bit.ly/4dlg9IW #QualityControl #SurfaceMeasurement #Innovation #StoodUpDrop #KRÜSS
