MD’s hiring FASTER and BETTER using our “Charge, Build & Hire” process | Clean Energy & eMobility | 84% of hires in 2023 were headhunted | Founder @ TechWaves Recruitment | DM me to book a call
I was talking to an old client the other week and it's crazy how one change in your structure in an Account Management team can make such a big impact positively. Some of the problems you have, many others have. One issue they had, which I've seen in more than one business was that their Account Managers were coming and going , it was a revolving door. Digging in and talking to the clients, there was two consistent issues The Account Managers were under performing and their reasoning was that their was too much admin and that's not what they signed up to. But then we discussed what was it that made them under perform, when in their previous job they have performed well. Lack of support with the admin side affected how they did their job, the targets weren't achievable when they were running around chasing bits of paper for sign-off. We talked about bringing in an admin person to support the team. It's something they hadn't thought of, and they'd had these issues for a couple of years. Could they have the budget to hire an administrator - well yes! If the Account Managers were doing what they were meant to be doing...servicing the clients and bringing on more business, then yes, they could afford to bring in an administrator. So that's what they did, they changed the structure of the department. Sometimes it takes thinking outside of what's 'normal' to you and how you've always done things. Your team performs, which means more revenue, that makes you happy because you're reaching your targets, and that in turn makes your Seniors extremely happy. And even better? Your employees are happy because they are performing to the best of their ability without getting bogged down in the admin side of the business. Its a win-win for everyone. #cleanenergy #automotive #sustainability #sales
