Why does everybody lie in job ads, and what can we do to stop it? Even LinkedIn is doing it. I have a job alert email from LinkedIn claiming they have 30+ new jobs for "inventor" which is utter BS. I get a lot of emails from talentdotcom (which I had to misspell to stop huge popups from them appearing in this post) saying "This high-tech patent agent job is for you!" but the only jobs listed are for Amazon delivery drivers. Another ad said, "Top 20 patent agent positions in Leominster" which again is utter BS. We have laws against false advertising. I think all those looking for work should get together, hire a good lawyer, file a billion-dollar class-action lawsuit, and demand reimbursement at double our normal hourly rate for every hour we have wasted dealing with false job ads.
