TaylorMade Golf has acquired putter designer Logan Olson to expand its portfolio of golf and experiential brands. Headquartered in Fortuna, CA, Olson designs and manufactures bespoke and small-batch putters. With the acquisition, TaylorMade Golf expanded its presence in the putter market, including its popular Spider models. #34

Two big announcements this week in the pickleball facilities space. The Pickleball Club, which had previously announced it would raise $180 million to open 15 high-end pickleball centers in Florida is closing and liquidating. Its two existing facilities are closing immediately. The owners indicated that they do not have sufficient financial resources to continue operations. In Texas, Dreamland Dripping Springs has announced it is permanently closing at the end of the year. Opened in March 2021, the facility featured 16 covered pickleball courts, a splash pad, disc golf courses, and two 18-hole mini golf courses. Steve Kuhn is an owner and was instrumental in the design and operation of the facility. Amid the gold rush to open new pickleball facilities, there will be a growing number that close up shop, unable to make the finances work.
