The ability to take the metaview—zooming out from our personal experience to see the bigger picture—is essential for gaining perspective. Astronauts experience this firsthand when seeing the Earth from space. It’s no surprise that their perspective significantly shifts when they can see the entirety of our world outside the window, seemingly no bigger than a beach ball. Similarly, our problems often look different when we change our perspective, and this is something we can practice. Next time you’re facing a problem, consider what may have happened outside your field of vision. What memories or past experiences are you and others bringing to this moment? What are the needs of all parties involved? You may not be able to see the full picture at first, but by shifting the scope of your vision, you can gain invaluable perspective.

What a helpful exercise to align with our greater purpose. Zoom out to take the metaview - developing metacognition. Zoom in(side) to take the intrapersonal view - developing emotional, and instinctual intelligence. And Zoom into the present moment - the Eternal Present vs the Complex Present loaded with the past and future - to hold the complexity. Instead of incremental change, what would happen if we went back to the drawing board and started again? #meaningfulvalue #meaningfulorganizationaldesign #wecanshift @SusanDavidPhD

In this technical tutorial, #DataVisualization expert Corey Lanum uses Neo4j and KronoGraph, our unique timeline visualization toolkit, to chart the history of spaceflight: https://hubs.li/Q028GNY40 He'll show you how to build an application that combines every interstellar mission in Supercluster's astronaut database into a single view that brings the whole story to life, starting with Yuri Gagarin's journey in 1961 and ending with the astronauts who are in space right now. You'll find out how KronoGraph makes it easy to pick out unusual patterns in activity and quickly uncover the story behind them - from the excitement of the space race to the disasters that put the Space Shuttle program on hold. And KronoGraph's styling and customization isn't just about aesthetics - it's an interactive tool that can help users pick out key players and important historical events at any zoom level. 🚀 Happy National Space Day, Earthlings! 🌌 Today, we’re not just celebrating the vast expanse above us; we’re celebrating the curiosity and spirit of adventure that has propelled humanity to reach for the stars to create a better world back on terra firma. May 3 is a day to reflect on the mysteries and wonders beyond our blue skies. And you don’t need a rocket ship to join the fun (though we wouldn’t say no to a ride in one 😉). Here’s how you can celebrate National Space Day with us: Stargaze into the night and make a wish on a shooting star (No guarantees, but hey, it’s worth a shot! 🌠). Build a spaceship out of cardboard and let your imagination take flight (Bonus points for the most creative design!). Learn about the great space explorers of history, from Galileo to the Apollo astronauts, and get inspired by their stellar achievements. Join the conversation online using #NationalSpaceDay and share your favorite space fact or selfie with your homemade rocket! Remember, space may be infinite, but our ability to dream is just as boundless. So, let’s shoot for the moon, because even if we miss, we’ll land among the stars. ✨ #S4H #Space4Humanity #spaceforhumanity #2Space4Earth #tospaceforearth #OverviewEffect #theovervieweffect #HumanSpaceflight #SpaceIsForEveryone #CitizenAstronaut #CA #CAP
