This morning CIEH Vice President, Professor Chris Elliott OBE, appeared on BBC Breakfast calling for the mandatory display of food hygiene ratings in England. You can watch the interview on BBC iPlayer. The interview took place at 08:18 ➡️Watch now: https://lnkd.in/dYQXRAQ (Please note: the programme is only available for 24 hours from broadcast) #CIEHNews #FoodHygiene #PublicHealth
Great response from Chris and the CIEH. I'd advise to watch the feature from the start (8:14). i.e. 2:14:45 on the timeline at the bottom of the iPlayer.
Unfortunately the bbc breakfast is not available on iPlayer now. I thought it was really disappointing and actually very worrying that when asked how often officers go into a premises, Chris replied “ideally annually”. This is completely incorrect and give the public a wildly unrealistic expectation.
Great advocacy for the EH profession, well done The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health 👏🏻
This is great new
I agree
Excellent interview, Chris - CIEH need to do more like this. Brand recognition 😁
Very informative

1moThe iplayer link is no longer available but I expect the Elliot clip will be the same as that which went out on BBC London on 10 October.
