Wellbeing is a priority with 75% of employers rating it their highest (Gallagher 2023). Yet only 52% of employees were experiencing high levels of wellbeing with little variation reported across remote, hybrid, or on-site workplaces but higher wellbeing reported by leaders (56%) than non-leaders (Gallagher 2022). In 2023, the top 3 workplace benefits that employees reported as being important are: 1. Flexible working arrangements, 2. Professional training and development, and 3. Career development programs. However, without meaning, purpose, and leadership support, such benefits remain only of short term value. For a thriving workplace, it's crucial to initiate dialogue with your team. Companies that foster open communication and truly heed employee feedback stand out. But merely listening isn't enough; it's vital to act upon the insights gained. When employees feel valued and heard, they exhibit heightened engagement, loyalty, and a readiness to excel in their roles. By being receptive to feedback and adaptive to change, businesses can pave the way for a workspace where everyone can prosper and shine. https://lnkd.in/g9RKkJ3b #futureofwork #workplacewellbing #wellbeingatwork #psychosocialrisk #leadership #burnoutprevention #wellbeing #career #careerdevelopment #workdesign

Employee Wellbeing Successful companies who purposefully manage their internal culture and highly value their employees – know that Employee Wellbeing is paramount. By effectively communicating and motivating staff they foster a workplace community that values their interrelatedness and who recognises that working together as a team with the same values produces bigger results than working as individuals. “Companies should be run as communities of human beings, not collections of human resources “ – Henry Mitzberg, Cleghorn Professor of Management Studies McGill University There is so much uncertainty, whether a company has experienced massive layoffs or is holding there own. Employees are constantly bombarded by bad news. Companies need to take the time to listen to their employees and build them up. Engaged employees positively affect the bottom line. "Evidence from several researchers suggests that downsizing dampens survivor’s creativity – a potential dangerous development for almost any company. To offset the drain on innovative energy, managers should put renewed effort into team building.” Harvard Business Review – After Layoffs, Help Survivors Be More Effective Several important factors to consider: - Employee wellbeing - Motivation Effective communication - Manage internal culture - All interconnected - Community Everything's interconnected. It's important for your employees to be well in these changing times. We want to help communities be healthier, because everything has a cascading effect. If you are feeling more positive at work it flows into your home life, which flows into your community. #WellBeing
