Over the past 30 years, I have struggled with mental health challenges, including anxiety and depression, which run in my family. These experiences have shown me firsthand how critical open and honest dialogues about mental health are in breaking the stigma and finding support. I’ve realized that I need to be proactive in ensuring my own needs are met, whether that’s through seeking help, building supportive networks, or practicing self-care. Mental health isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, and it’s okay to ask for help. These conversations are vital—not just for ourselves, but for creating an environment where everyone feels supported. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #BreakingTheStigma #SupportAndCare

🌍 #WorldMentalHealthDay was a reminder that taking care of our mental health is as important as physical health. At GHS, we believe mental well-being should be a priority for everyone, not just a select few. Creating a supportive, open environment where employees feel safe to talk about mental health is a game-changer. From mental health training to Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), the benefits are clear: happier teams, stronger relationships, and better outcomes for everyone. We encourage fellow employers to consider these steps, not just as policies, but as part of building a culture where people thrive. It’s time to make mental health part of our everyday conversations at work, at home, and in our communities. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #HolisticCare.
