🎉 Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI India) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) conducted the first training and certification program under the Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT) project, supported by the International Climate Initiative (IKI India), on January 27 and 28, 2025, at IHC in New Delhi. The program targeted architects, ESCOs, and building developers across India.   The two-day certification program focused on equipping more than fifty participants including fifteen females with knowledge of Net Zero buildings, low-carbon building standards, technologies, and practices focusing on operational and embodied emissions from buildings. GGGI is thankful to Dr. Shailesh Agrawal, Executive Director, Building Materials And Technology Promotion Council (Bmtpc), Mr. Soumya Garnaik, Country Representative, GGGI India, Mr. Venkatagiri K S, Principal Counsellor, CII, Ms. Julie Robles, PM ALCBT project, GGGI, Ms. Sheetal Tuteja, Chairperson, CII - Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Mr. Sanjay Varshney CII-IGBC for sharing their introductory remarks during the training session. This is a fantastic initiative towards promoting sustainable building practices in India GGGI India. It's great to see so many professionals coming together to enhance their knowledge on Net Zero buildings and low-carbon standards. Kudos to GGGI India and CII for your efforts in driving this important transition in the construction industry.
