Cambridge International Law Journal (CILJ) reposted this

🌟 Exciting Announcement! 🌟 I am thrilled to share my latest blog post on the recent Advisory Opinion issued by the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea/Tribunal international du droit de la mer (ITLOS)! 🏛️⚖️ This is a major legal development in the climate change regime, as it establishes that States have a legal obligation to prevent, reduce, and control greenhouse gas emissions to protect and preserve the marine 🌊 environment. In my blog post, I offer my insights and discuss five key points of importance for this Advisory Opinion. I would love to hear your thoughts and engage in a discussion about this significant legal milestone. Many thanks to Professor Harro Van Asselt and Richard Wagenlander for their invaluable comments. Any remaining mistakes are my own. Here is my blog post: https://lnkd.in/d7DqA9Ng
