Reflecting on Quarter 1 at Northeastern University Toronto Campus A few weeks ago, I concluded my first quarter at Northeastern University Toronto Campus, and I’m thrilled to share some reflections on this transformative journey. This quarter was a perfect blend of rigorous academics, practical learning, and personal growth, setting the foundation for my career in project management. Here’s a closer look at the impactful courses I completed: 1️ Foundations of Project Management This course provided a deep dive into the core principles, methodologies, and tools essential for managing projects successfully. From creating project charters to mastering scheduling techniques, I gained a comprehensive understanding of how to initiate, plan, execute, and close projects effectively. 2️ Communication Skills for Project Managers I explored strategies for communicating clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders. The lessons in conflict resolution, active listening, and delivering impactful presentations were particularly valuable in strengthening my interpersonal skills. 3️ Experiential Project Preparation This course shaped my understanding of the professional landscape, equipping me with practical tools and insightful strategies to navigate my career journey effectively. 4️ Stakeholder Management Understanding how to identify, engage, and manage stakeholder expectations is crucial for any project manager.
