At the National Science and Technology Fair 2024, CIRAD is celebrating, under the patronage of Ambassade de France en Thaïlande, 40 years of contributions to agricultural research, innovation, and partnerships through a photo exhibition, showcasing our impact on improving farming practices and fostering sustainable development in tropical regions. With the focus on our activities in Thailand, the highlight of the exhibition was two photographs illustrating our work in the #rubber sector and #OneHealth approach, accompanied by a series of 10 photographs showcasing our activities around the world. The Hevea Research Platform in Partnership ( https://lnkd.in/gCrh-i3k) presented a display of the natural rubber production process, from seeds to plants to everyday objects, educating young attendees on sustainable practices in rubber farming and the sector’s importance to the economies of many Southeast Asian countries. The One Health Research Platform in Southeast Asia ( https://lnkd.in/gFG8ijin) presented CIRAD's work in the KAP-Rabies (https://lnkd.in/gDmE8RCS) project on targeted vaccination against #rabies, a perfect application of the One Health approach, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. The National Science and Technology Fair 2024 (NST Fair 2024) is set to be held until August 25th, 2024, at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok (Nonthaburi), Thailand. This event is one of the largest science and technology fairs in Southeast Asia and celebrates Thailand's National Science Day, observed on August 18th each year. The theme for this year's fair is "Future Science Community for All," the fair will feature interactive science displays, innovative technology, and contributions from international organisations and educational institutions. Admission to the event is free, making it an excellent opportunity for students, educators, and the public to explore the latest advancements in science and technology.
