Circana Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’s Post

Every July, we celebrate #DisabilityPrideMonth, celebrating and reclaiming the visibility of the history and achievements of people with disabilities and chronic illness. This month began to mark the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which is now celebrated in the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, and many other countries. It connects to a larger movement for disability justice and serves as a reminder that it is everyone’s responsibility to create a more accessible and inclusive world. Discover more about Disability Pride Month through The Arc of the United States, the largest community-based organization in the U.S. advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and supporting them and their families: https://lnkd.in/gcyjGRsp. Throughout this year, we’re building our allyship capabilities at Circana through our Allyship in the Workplace program. This month, we’re sharing specific tips on disability allyship — see a great collection of tips in this fantastic article by Ariane Resnick: https://lnkd.in/gFuDyD6p. Let’s continue to break down barriers to inclusion and champion policies that prohibit discrimination. #CircanaDEI
