For this week’s #InsideCircetUSA from Circet USA, we spoke with Scoping Engineer, Jason McMillen. Jason has been with the company for 2 years and loves the remote work environment and the people he engages with on a daily basis. “The people who work at this company are like one big family and it works very well together as a team. Everyone I’ve come across is willing to help and they all have the same goal to better the company while we’re here.” Jason started climbing towers during the UMTS rush in 2010. He spent the first six years climbing the tower and learning as much as he could about the equipment, the towers and the rigging. After developing a highly refined skillset he moved up into the role of foreman. “I spent the next 6 years as a foreman on both a tower crew, a gin pole crew as the winch operator and also running a small cell crew. I had originally switched to small cell to avoid the constant travel but that proved short-lived as the small cell area expanded and so did my travel.” Outside of work Jason likes to hunt, fish, cut firewood and mill his own lumber. He also likes to ride motorcycles, mountain bikes and garden. When asked if there is something Jason has learned to love as he has gotten older, Jason answered, “The journey matters more than the destination. When I was younger I always looked forward to the end result of reaching my goal, I only wanted the prize at the end. Nowadays I can appreciate the journey to get there, take my time in my work and enjoy the process that takes me to the end result. I can appreciate the hard work it takes to get there as much as the end goal. Patience has allowed me to change my mindset.” Thank you, Jason, for all the work you do! #Telecommunications #InsideCircetUSA #CircetUSA #WeAreCircetUSA #CompanyCulture #EmployeeRecognition #EmployeeEngagement #EmployeeAppreciation #Telecom #WorkplaceWellness #CareerGoals #PersonalInterests #DataCenter #Internet #WiFi
