Since 2016, Regione Lombardia has allocated €1 million to the competition, with an additional €17 million from other investors. Applications should fall into one of four categories: #ICT & Services, Industrial Technologies, #LifeSciences & MedTech, and #CleanTech & Energy. New for 2024, there are up to four special mentions under the "StartCup 4 Motors of Europe." #Lombardy also supports startups through other initiatives like the Berkeley SkyDeck Europe - Milano accelerator at #MIND.
