🚀 Smartworks Raises Rs 168 Crore in Second Round of Funding Led by Keppel Ltd. 🚀 Overview of Smartworks: Smartworks, India’s leading managed workspace platform, continues to expand its footprint across the country. Founded by Neetish Sarda, Smartworks offers innovative office experiences and managed campus platforms to businesses. Since its inception, the company has grown to include 41 centers across 13 cities, encompassing a total of 8 million sqft. Major locations include Golf View Corporate Towers in Gurugram, Logix Cyber Park in Noida, Amar Tech Center, and 43EQ in Pune, and Olympia Pinnacle in Chennai. Funding Details: This year, Smartworks has secured $20.24 million (Rs 168 crore) in a second round of funding led by Singapore-based Keppel Ltd. Ltd, a longstanding investor in the company since 2019. Additional investors in this round include Ananta Capital Ventures Fund I, Plutus Capital LLC, Family Trusts, and high-net-worth individuals. To date, Keppel Ltd has invested $29 million in Smartworks. The capital from this latest round will be utilized for business growth, expansion, and general corporate expenses. NVIDIA and McKinsey & Company's recent expansions in the National Capital Region (NCR) signal resilience in the office space market amid Q4 challenges. Despite a 21% dip in leasing activity, their commitments underscore confidence in India's growth prospects. NVIDIA secured 73,000 sq ft at The Headquarters 27, while McKinsey & Company leased 70,000 sq ft at DLF downtown in Gurgaon, reflecting their strategic investments in the region. As McKinsey & Company's spokesperson highlighted, this move aligns with their growth aspirations in India, emphasizing a long-standing commitment to the country's business landscape. While overall leasing activity saw a decline, industry experts remain optimistic about net absorption, driven by pre-commitments and sustained demand across sectors like flex, IT-BPM, BFSI, and engineering. Gurgaon continues to lead demand, with prime sub-markets like Cybercity and NH-8 Prime attracting significant leasing volume, followed by Noida.
