Many of CISA's underrepresented students in humanities and interdisciplinary studies majors require financial assistance to finish their degrees. Whether it's money to help with books, housing, tuition, research or pursuing unpaid internships — your generosity can make a meaningful impact on our students, setting them up for success for years to come. Your donation, of any amount, will be matched up to $15,000 in additional student support and bring us even closer to endowing CISA's Interdisciplinary Humanities Scholarship, enabling us to offer it every semester in perpetuity! All funds will be deposited with the ASU Foundation for A New American University, a nonprofit organization that exists to support Arizona State University (ASU). Gifts in support of ASU are subject to foundation policies and fees. In the event that funds raised reach $25,000, gifts will be permanently endowed. Your gift may be considered a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of charitable contributions. Hello LinkedIn Multiverse, It's 20 days until my birthday, and this year I'm making a big deal out of it. You know, birthdays are strange; they make us reflect on who we are, where we've been, and where we're going. This year, I have a reason to celebrate that's more than just another year of life. I've been selected for the Inaugural Cohort of the UAPB/AM&N National Alumni Association FIFTY Under 50 Outstanding Young Alumni. In honor of this recognition, I'm setting a goal to raise $1,000 for UAPB before July 2, 2024. Life throws challenges at us, and for some students, financial hardship is one of them. Our cohort is working to raise $50k for the Dire Need Scholarship Fund and other administrative costs. This scholarship will support those students who are on the edge, struggling to pay their tuition balance. It will keep dreams alive and futures bright. UAPB doesn't just educate; it transforms. It prepares our graduates to be critical thinkers, change agents, and leaders in the global society. Your support will make a real difference, a tangible impact in the lives of these students. So, I’m asking you to help me reach this $1,000 goal. Because when you support education, you’re not just investing in one person. You’re investing in everyone they’ll go on to impact. **DONATION LINK:** [https://lnkd.in/gZWGJ6Ut) *If you prefer to donate by check, make it payable to: UAPB/AM & N National Alumni Association 1200 University Dr. Mail Slot 4813 Pine Bluff, AR 71601 In the memo line, please indicate "FIFTY Under 50/ Frank D. Dorsey, II". **To donate over the phone, call 870-536-2309. Thank you for your support. Thank you for believing in the power of education. And thank you, UAPB/AM&N National Alumni Association. "In 2022-23, full-time undergraduate students received an average of $15,480 in financial aid: $10,680 in grants, $3,860 in federal loans, $850 in education tax credits and deductions, and $90 in Federal Work-Study." The 2022-23 year demonstrated the highest decline in undergraduate borrowing for federal and nonfederal loans in 12 years. Providing scholarship opportunities will help reduce financial burdens and may encourage more students to pursue postsecondary education. Among large nonprofits, male CEOs had a median salary of $559,770, compared to $430,640 for female CEOs, representing a 23% compensation gap. The report also highlights that while women lead 58% of smaller nonprofits, they account for only 29% of CEOs at large organizations. https://lnkd.in/gwt8KW5w 😬🫣𝗘𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗵 - 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁 : A former College of the Holy Cross trustee is suing the college to recoup $21 million in donations, alleging delays and a lack of transparency in the construction of a performing arts center named after him. The donor claims the college delayed the project and refused to provide a detailed accounting of the funds. Holy Cross argues that the project costs increased due to decisions lobbied by the donor himself and insists that the funds were used according to the terms of a 2014 agreement. https://lnkd.in/g2NuJMqf

The Journey continues ---- Principles ---- There are Principles in life that we must obey to attain certain results. Without a principled Orientation we cannot achieve any outcome. Behind every principle is a promise as trees and green plants obey the principles of nature, even if concrete was on the ground, their obedience breaks the concrete and the tree is made whole. Therefore Life is not hard, obedience is hard. Amongst us here are footballers, doctors, Engineers, dancers, Athletes of races, writers, speakers, planners, managers, even hairdressers, we are born to different gifts and different strengths as you write exams, you sometimes tend to develop a phobia that stops you from experiencing academic success. This academic success can be achieved if only you are given the reasons of your gifts. The principles to academic success is studying. Why then do we study? Most of us are caught in this trauma of academic downfall, only because we've not been given enough reason to study! Do you know the football you are gifted with can be linked to your study life? The same way you play music or run or sing can relate to your study life through Principles alone. Therefore academic Success is not hard but obedience to study principles is hard. We all have gifts some outside the walls of academic enrichment. So goes the question, since I have gifts, WHY MUST I STUDY.. #makeadifference #talent #love #community #people #education . #school #training #ngo #nfo #grants #funding #donate #crowdfunding #donors #donorlove. #charity #nonprofit #nonprofitsupport #volunteer #volunteeropportunities #makeadifference #makeadifferencetoday #helpingotherssucceed #4change #philanthropy #philanthropymatters #giveback #fundraising #fundraise #getfunded #unitednations #happyfounders #impact #change

🚨 #GovsGive2024 Update 🚨 We're still going strong until 7:27 p.m. today, March 13! APSU Department of Communication Professor Mike Dunn shares the impact of funding on student experiences: "Funding helps us to give students hands-on experience, so when they go into the job market, they're able to do so much more than maybe students who didn't have the opportunities. The funding allows students to spend more time in labs or spend more time in the radio station or in an art studio or whatever they do on campus. I think that gives them the power than when they go out to Industry to be able to really show what Austin Peay can do for students." Support our students' growth and future success by donating now at https://lnkd.in/emTZR5_3! Every contribution makes a difference. #GovsForLifeExperience
