My 1st TVC (Thrust Vector Control) for my model rocket. The parts of this Unit are 3D printed, while I am using SG90 Servos for actuation. The MPU 6050, I think is enough for my model rocket Gyro. I think, I need to work more on its PID control algorithm as it still has jerks and sudden movements. Also I will upgrade the design of this TVC within the next few months, which will be better than this. #TVC #algorithm #space #rocketry #modelrocket #Arduino #PID #Rocket #3Dprint #isro #nasa #spacex

Why is CFD so important for the development of space projects? 1. #AerodynamicDesign: It helps optimize spacecraft and rocket designs by simulating airflow and pressure, ensuring efficient aerodynamics and reduced drag. 2. #HeatManagement: It aids in thermal analysis, ensuring spacecraft can withstand extreme temperature variations in space and during reentry. 3. #PropulsionEfficiency: It optimizes rocket engine performance, enhancing fuel combustion and minimizing thrust losses. 4. #HypersonicFlows: It assists in understanding and modeling hypersonic flows during reentry, crucial for safe spacecraft return. 5. #ReducingCosts: CFD allows for extensive testing and design refinement in a virtual environment, saving time and resources compared to physical testing. 6. #RiskMitigation: It helps identify potential issues early in the design phase, improving mission safety.

#SpaceXWeldingWoes: From Inappropriate Outsourcing to Advanced Techniques, the Quest for #Starship Integrity #SpaceX's early Starship development was plagued by welding issues - first outsourcing to a water tower company using inappropriate fluxed core welding, leading to a ground-based explosion.# #Recognizing the need for more sophisticated methods, SpaceX then adopted cutting-edge techniques like laser beam, electron beam, and friction stir welding (#FSW). #Yet even these advanced approaches could not prevent a later in-air Starship explosion, underscoring the immense engineering challenges of building #reusable rockets. #SpaceX's journey highlights the critical importance of welding expertise in space technology and the ongoing drive for #innovation to ensure safe, reliable space travel. #SpaceEngineering# #Welding# #Aerospace#

The famous 'Snoopy Cap' won't be part of the new Collins Aerospace #NextEMUSpacesuit. That communication system has been used since the Apollo era, but with advances in technology and practical applications, it's no longer needed. While we bid adieu to the classic cap, we welcome a more efficient comms system with transmission around the actual helmet, allowing easier and more efficient communication in space. #Spacesuit #Space #SpaceExploration #TechDevelopment #Engineering
