At CITB, we’re committed to supporting the construction industry and ensuring fair practices across the sector. Alongside industry partners, including our Levy Strategy Committee (LSC), Nation Councils and Prescribed Organisations, CITB has updated our Passing on the Levy statement. This refers to when some construction companies or principal contractors pass the cost of the CITB Levy down to their subcontractors. If you’re a subcontractor affected by unauthorised Levy deductions, you can now report it anonymously to CITB. Let’s work together to end this unfair practice and support skills development for the entire industry. Read the full statement here 💬 https://bit.ly/3XCMBBX #ConstructionIndustry #CITB

What this I can believe, the CITB is giving no reply to my comment funny that and in order to get a apprenticeship I had to do a CITB TEST AND PASSED IT so how is it fair to put me on the scrapheap

This is great news. I've had a couple of conversations recently about this very thing and advised the companies involved to contact their local advisers to report it. The disappointing thing is that one of these organisations is a national house builder who should know better!

'CITB, you need to rid yourselves of the block voting through prescribed organisations. It's entirely unconvincing. Until you change this policy to an "individual employer/company vote" online, many will remain unconvinced that it's a fair reflection of the sector's thoughts.

The easiest and best way to address this issue is to get rid of the CITB Levy completely. #consensus
