🔍 Reflecting on two decades at BETT London, a journey witnessing its colossal evolution. 🚀 Just wrapped up my 20th BETT EdTech show. Navigating the changing and growing layout challenges us each year to rethink our strategies for effective connections. It has become something of a monster event. AI featured prominently, a far cry from interactive whiteboards being the talking point! The big hitters were dominant. Microsoft wowed with its Copilot AI integration, but is there enough consideration from such organisations for real-world classroom use? Thankfully, BETT still has capacity for the smaller players to show their wares. Should we look to those with more a more specific and focused target in mind when it comes to AI? A nod to you Sphinx AI. The 'Table Talks' initiative was a successful addition, sparking engaging discussions on the safe use of AI in schools (thank you Rachel Belkacem for the useful conversations). The take home from our table? It's a challenging time as we strive to keep pace with students while ensuring a safe learning environment for AI literacy, and there is much work to do. Is BETT becoming too big? Three days felt like a sprint in the quest for knowledge and insights. Part of me misses the Olympia experience of old. #EdTech #Education #AIinSchools 🌐📚
