Vote for Coburn Place!!! I wanted to bring to your attention an exciting opportunity for us to support Coburn Place. Peterman Brothers, an HVAC and plumbing company, is hosting a fundraiser and we’re in it. Each week in March, charity/nonprofit organizations are paired against each other in four single-elimination tournament brackets. Community members vote on the organization they want to advance. The weekly winners will advance to the next round until the end of the fundraiser. Last year, the top four organizations split $75K. Can you help us get to the next round? Please take a moment to cast your vote for Coburn Place. Here’s how: 1. 1. Visit https://lnkd.in/gbr7nbkQ 2. 2. Click the “Vote now!” button 3. 3. Click the red “Start Voting" button 4. 4. Enter your name and email address (Your email won’t be saved or used in promos) 5. 5. Scroll through the organizations until you find Coburn Place (You don’t have to vote on each match-up) 6. 6. Cast your vote!

What rules surround charities accepting, refusing or returning donations? Following an increase in queries from charities on accepting or returning donations and the ex-gratia regime, as well as new Charity Commission for England and Wales guidance on this topic published Monday (4 March), Stone King Partners Hannah Kubie and Luke Watson have created a helpful collection of FAQs for charities. Subjects covered include the broad rules on returning donations, whether charities should have policies in place regarding the acceptance, refusal and return of donations, and a reminder of the current ex-gratia rules. UPDATE: Three more donors have added on as monthly supporters! We're now at $990 out of our $2,800 a month goal! As a recap, we are in a fundraising campaign right now to meet our pressing need for $2,800 a month of new monthly donors, due to the fact that 2 churches that have been renting from us at the Heart of the City Music Factory are moving on to larger facilities and won't be renting any longer. Thankfully, since we made this need known a few weeks ago, 20 more people (or couples) have responded to our calls for new monthly supporters and have committed to being monthly donors in the amount of $990 a month! So, we continue to make slow, but steady progress toward our goal! The $1,810 a month we have yet to raise can seem daunting, until you break it down to small amounts given by several individuals: -181 more people donating just $10 a month would meet our need -72 more people donating only $25 a month would meet our need -36 more people donating $50 a month would meet our need -Or, easier yet, 18 people donating $100 a month would get it covered! Would you be one of those people - even if it's just $10 a month? We would so appreciate it and it will keep us moving forward with the great mission of the Heart of the City Band and the Music Factory! You can set up an automatic monthly credit card or debit card donation through Network for Good by following the link below. Or, you can just mail in a check to Heart of the City Ministries, 2665 4th Avenue, Anoka, MN 55303. We'll send you back a receipt and return envelope with each check we receive. All your donations are tax-deductible. THANK YOU! The goal is in sight and with your help, we can make it! https://lnkd.in/gbxHfFud

"For charities, it is important to drive supporters to their own websites as direct donations are 28% higher than those through consumer giving platforms. Given the current economic environment it is important for charities to focus on driving direct donations." - Donor Pulse Summer 2024 Is your website a donors dream or deterrent? #Fundraising #Charity #NotforProfit

If you are a CEO in a charity, I strongly recommend that your Chair joins the Association of Chairs. Their publication ‘A Question of Balance’ is a brilliant document that details all you need to know about how to build an effective working relationship between the Chair and CEO. If every organisation strived to have these fundamental ways of working in place, I really believe that charities would achieve more. #makeadifference #charity #leadership

Fundraising trends captured this year by the European Fundraising Association (EFA) showed greater diversity than ever in fundraising channels. Social media, websites and email topped the list of most favoured channels, but most noticeable growth was seen in face-to-face fundraising as it rose to #4, overtaking mail and telephone from the previous year. As the cost of living crisis continues, regular supporters are making tough decisions about their ability to continue giving at this level. F2F not only helps refresh and grow this supporter pool quickly and efficiently, but does so through genuine human connection that most often leads to long-term supporter relationships. More reasons to consider from Gather Campaigns here: #charity #fundraising #F2Ffundraising #regulargiving
Recent media headlines show that many UK charities are experiencing a decline in regular givers – falling 7% in the last 4 years. Over half a million people a year decide to give a regular gift to charity because of a conversation with a face-to-face fundraiser. This makes dialogue fundraising one of the most successful channels of recruiting new supporters. For 4 ways in which face-to-face fundraising helps charities increase their regular givers, check out this 3-minute read: https://lnkd.in/eE5_XVJn #F2F #Fundraising #CharitySector
