Hey everyone! I’ve been a bit quiet lately, juggling my internship and academics, but I had to share something that truly made my day. Recently, I opened up my Docker setup after a while and found myself a bit stuck. 😅 But then, I remembered something crucial—my documentation! It's been 5 months since I dived deep into Docker, Jenkins, and DevOps, and let me tell you, taking the time to document every step has been a game-changer. When I opened my notes, everything clicked back into place, and I could easily track my progress and understand all the work I’ve done. And let’s not forget AWS—an essential service that makes life so much easier when working on complex projects. If there’s one tip I’d give to anyone working on long-term projects: Document everything! It may seem tedious at first, but trust me, it pays off big time. It’s like a guidebook for your future self. So, if you haven’t started documenting your work yet, now’s the time. Your future self will thank you! #DevOps #Docker #Jenkins #AWS #Documentation #TechTips #Internship #ProjectManagement

Happy Sunday, I hope you've had a fantastic week! I'd love to hear what's gone well, what's been challenging, and who you're thankful for this week, as well as what you're looking forward to in the new week! 😎 #Success 🏆 - changing when I read my current software engineering book (Kill It With Fire by Marianne Bellotti, which I would recommend!) worked really well for me this week. 📖 Previously, I tried to read software engineering books in the evenings, but I found myself skipping it or not taking in information so well as I'm in a more relaxed mode by that point, so fiction books work better for me then. Since I value what I get from both non-fiction and fiction books, hopefully I can continue this habit beyond this week. It's reminded me of the importance of working WITH your energy rather than AGAINST in order to get into a habit, so that it feels easier to do regularly. #Struggle 😢 - I did a little bit of context-switching this week, and I think I could've handled it better! I switched between looking at something for the task I was working on, reviewing a pull request, and replying to some messages. The reason why I think I could've handled it better is because I treated all of those things as "urgent", leading me to switch between all of them which wasn't particularly helpful as I had to take a little bit of time to get in the mindset of those tasks. Doing that a lot can be tiring. Instead, I maybe could've taken a step back and understood what was actually urgent and focus on those things first, then get onto the other things. #ShoutOut 📢 to Nish Anil for your .NET Developers video that gives an introduction to microservices and building one in .NET and Docker! It's been a while since I've explored microservices and creating one using Docker, so your video was a handy refresher for me and I love the look of the course! I'll put a link to the video and course in case it's of interest to anyone else 😊 #Action 💪🏻 - I'm looking forward to doing some more reading and learning from both the fiction and software engineering book! I'm also looking forward to progressing with my presentation for my end-point assessment - the final stage of my apprenticeship - which is happening in just over a month! Hope you have an amazing week ahead! 💃🏻🕺🏻 What's your #SuccessStruggleShoutOutAction for this week? #SoftwareEngineering #apprenticeships #positivity #habits #learning

Choosing between DSA+Dev or DSA+Dev+DevOps🤔…… ⚡ DSA means you have solved 200+ problems, then DSA is good enough to mark it... ⚡ Dev means you have learned frontend and backend, and you have a deployed project; then, the Dev part is good enough to mark it... ⚡ When it comes to DevOps, having an already deployed project on AWS/Versal will help you learn the basics of DevOps... DSA+Dev is sufficient for applying to companies for internships and placements, but DevOps is an upskilling skill that will propel you forward🔥...... ProPeers is here to help you upskill! 👉 Check out the roadmaps and enhance your skills: https://lnkd.in/gWhD2dTx Follow ProPeers, Connect with Peer, Ask Experts & Grow Together💯 #propeers #dev #devopsskills #dsa #challanges #choice #problemsolving #upskilling

🚀 #ContinuousDeployment and #ContinuousIntegration are crucial in today's #DistributedSystems 🔄 pipelines that orchestrate #build, #test, #deploy stages span across dozens of #microservices and over more environments that are stacked on different levels of testing, which brings another level of complexity to the project You have to #design this to achieve a controllable and manageable pipeline suite. 📌 #maintainability, #extenssability and #reusability become important attributes for the YAML code, just like for the rest of the project. The last project I've designed and led has proven this once again. It showed how important it is to have agility and predictability in adapting the #DevOps process and tools to a new phase of the project without disturbing development or operations. 🎓 That’s why I’m adding #Azure #DevOps #training to my offerings. Check it out ↓↓↓
