ACE is designed to get residents directly involved and engaged with the City of Birmingham government through a series of sessions that aim to improve your overall understanding of municipal government and leadership. This project is a city-wide leadership initiative that is open to any Birmingham resident. If you have not participated in ACE in the past, I urge you to sign up to gain a deeper understanding of how the City is working for you and how to access a variety of opportunities. The program includes a tour of City Hall; opportunities to interact with City of Birmingham staff and elected officials; and more. Some of the topics will cover public safety, neighborhood revitalization, and understanding Birmingham’s infrastructure. I am a graduate of the fourth cohort and learned so much about our City’s infrastructure and how we can help as private citizens. This is a great way to get involved! Josh Coleman is a wonderful leader and I met some absolutely awesome and dedicated fellow Birminghamians. The first session is Thursday, September 5th.
