You cannot expect your team to be reliable (or any other trait for that matter) if you are not being reliable. It's about trusting them to do what's right And supporting them through the darkest night. Leadership is not about being on top But helping others reach the mountaintop. It's about inspiring them to be their best And creating a culture where they can rest. So let us all strive to be empowering leaders Who lift up others and help them achieve their futures. 👉 Leadership is not a personality type. There, I said it. Yes, there are personalities that are charismatic, driven, pioneering and visionary. Yes, these personalities instinctively strategise and influence, but are they necessarily Kings or Queens? → Leadership is always contextual. Which means you need the right personality for the right task. Of course they also need to have the necessary skills. Rassie understood this with Siya Kolisi. He recognised the personality. He grew the skills. Be careful assuming that the most driven person, or the most influential or the most responsible person in your organisation should be King or Queen.
