We continue celebrating National Small Business Week today by featuring a new small business, Afghan Kamees. Qaseem and his family purchased their home in Concord last year, and soon after opened Afghan Kamees, specializing in authentic Afghan clothing for women, men, and children. The traditional pieces are designed and made by young businesswomen from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. Qaseem and his wife started the business by selling vibrant pieces perfect for celebrations and holidays, and plan to add more daywear to the collection soon. Customers are also able to complete their look with shoes and beautiful jewelry and accessories. Qaseem and his wife were happy to open their business in Concord because of the diverse atmosphere of both businesses and residents. Visit Afghan Kamees at 2777 Clayton Road on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm.

Powerful word by USA government Contract queen Karwanna D @karwannadspeaks "Your Business is your ministry and your purpose Your business shouldn't just be about making money. It should be your purpose and your ministry. If you're only doing it to make money, it's easy to get burnt out and give up especially when you're struggling, you don't know enough, or don't have enough resources. Allow your business to shape you, to refine you into the person you need to be to succeed. Trust that every experience, whether good or bad, is working together for your ultimate good. When you persevere and don't give up, your journey will become a powerful testament. Your business has not only served you but has also allowed you to fulfill your purpose and ministry in the world. Partnering with someone in business should be taken with the same deliberation as partnering with someone in marriage. But too often partners rush into a new venture without considering the long-term impact on their relationship and even their life. Every business partnership should start with a serious, eyes-wide-open conversation. Here are 9 questions to jump start that conversation and avoid more heated “discussions” when the hard business decisions inevitably arise. And don’t fool yourselves into thinking that your relationship will survive anything. The courts are full of too many cases with partners who didn’t start out with this conversation. What questions do you wish you had asked your partner before forming your business relationship? #businessowners #partnership #entrepreneurship #smallbusiness #businessowners #businesscoach https://lnkd.in/gUN8VM95

Whether your friends, family or have a professional connection, partners should have some serious conversations before partnering in a business. And partners already in business together should continue those conversations on a regular basis. These conversations keep you both moving in the same direction and are critical to avoiding disagreements. #smallbusiness #familybusiness #entrepreneurship #mindset

My words can PAY you. Experience the difference that a skilled and knowledgeable copywriter can make for your business and your wallet!
Why many business owners preach to the choir and NEVER see profits. "Preaching to the choir" is an old saying that basically means trying to convince a group of people about something they already believe. This is a mistake that I see many businesses making actually. Let's say you have a small group of "die-hards" who are fully loyal to your business. These people read everything you put out and purchase everything you offer. This begs the question: "Why try to convince them?" They are already convinced, the real issue appears when this group is your only type of customer. Sure, they may purchase just about everything, but your revenue is severely limited by your lack of new customers. A church with just a preacher and the choir isn't really growing is it? No, you need new people to show up! Likewise, in your business, you need to get NEW people interested. Your choir is already onboard; find some new members, focus on getting ATTENTION.

Although starting a business feeds the entrepreneurial spirit, buying a business can be equally satisfying. An advantage to purchasing an existing company is its track record. A successful business will have already completed the groundwork basic – building clientele.
