The theme of this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month – Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together – is a powerful reminder of the innovation and resilience that defines the Hispanic experience. Yet, the impact of our criminal justice system continues to disproportionately affect Hispanic communities, presenting barriers to progress and equity. As we reflect on this theme, it's crucial that we work together to dismantle these systemic inequities. By advocating for reform and amplifying the voices of those directly impacted, we can truly shape a future that embodies justice and unity for all. #CriminalJusticeReform #HispanicHeritageMonth #Equity #PioneersOfChange

Hispanic Heritage Month or His-Pandering Month? 🤔 It’s Day 4 of Hispanic Heritage Month and time to get real. How can we go beyond the surface-level acknowledgment of Hispanic Heritage Month and truly *celebrate* Hispanic culture, history, and contributions? 🌎 Far too often, organizations fall into the trap of token gestures—dropping a few flags, scheduling one event, or sending an email, and calling it a day. But what does true *engagement* with the Hispanic community look like? ✅ It’s about intentional, year-round support for Hispanic-led causes. ✅ It’s about recognizing and amplifying Hispanic voices in your workplace and community. ✅ It’s about educating yourself and your teams on the richness of Hispanic history, *not* just this month—but every day. At **The BE Consultancy**, we’re here to help your organization move beyond performative practices and create authentic, sustainable connections to the communities you say you support. 🙌🏽 🔍 Let’s explore what it *really* means to honor Hispanic Heritage—because trust us, it’s far more impactful than a month of surface-level efforts. Join us in bridging the gap between intent and action! 🌿 #hispanicheritagemonth #latinxheritagemonth #latineheritagemonth #latinoheritagemonth #beyondthetoken #dei #dbie #WorkplaceWellness #communityengagement #communitybuilding #TheBEConsultancy #authenticinclusion #diversityinaction

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 became law 60 years ago today, but Black Americans still trail White Americans in economic and social equality, National Urban League says. The League’s 2024 Equality Index, which measures social and economic status of African Americans relative to Whites, is at 75.7. At full equality, the index would be 100. There is no question the Civil Rights Act has brought progress, but economic empowerment is key to parity. The National Urban League’s 2024 State of Black America is an insightful report that analyzes the Civil Rights Act’s impact on Black America. https://bit.ly/3W2QMX9 #civilrightsact #civilrights #democracy #equality

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, honoring freedom and resilience. Let's reflect on the significance of this day and continue working towards equality and justice for all. Together, we build a better future. 🖤❤️💚 #Juneteenth #Equality #HealthcareInnovation #TeamJTG 📜 The history: Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger shared General Order No. 3, marking freedom for enslaved people in Texas — 2.5 years after Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, which had little effect due to the Civil War. 🌎 The recognition: Juneteenth — from "June" and "nineteenth" — has a historic legacy that’s long been celebrated in the African-American community. But it wasn’t until the summer of 2020, when protests flared over the killings of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, that a fight to make June 19 a holiday was revived. On June 17, 2021, Congress passed a bill to make Juneteenth a federal holiday, and President Joe Biden signed it into law. Today, Juneteenth symbolizes a commitment to reckon with the past and work toward an inclusive future — with difficult conversations and the fight for equality and justice.
