Teacher/trainer with substantial experience designing, leading, and implementing a broad range of growth and realignment initiatives.
My very first job, at age 14, taught me a lot. I worked as an assistant maintenance guy at a mobile home park in rural southeast Ohio. That summer, the septic system for the park had an issue. The head maintenance guy handed me a shovel and told me the pit had to be shoveled out. It was hot, stinky work, and I was earning $2.00 an hour. I spent the afternoon shoveling human crap (and other things people flush down a toilet). So what did I learn? 1. No job is beneath me. (Why I never utter the phrase, "I don't get paid enough to do this.") 2. If it is worth doing, it is worth putting your best effort into the work. 3. There is pride in a job well done even if the job is stinky, gross, and maybe not even legal. What are some great lessons you learned from your job(s) before you found your career?

Announcing the launch of Job Site Views to all customers! "Wow, this is going to save me hours that I now spend on <competitor product> because I have to do this manually. Sign me up now!" When a feature has that kind of customer reaction, you know you have unlocked new growth! While we have had Job Site in the product, we just launched Job Site View which offers a comprehensive overview of employee schedules by site, with the click of a button! Toggling into this view from the Views page, managers can now easily identify coverage gaps at a glance and ensure that all on-site locations are properly staffed. We have already seen this feature be used across several industries saving lots of time! E.g. Companies providing on-site services like maintenance, repairs, and installations can use "Job Site View" to manage and track field technicians effectively, retail and Restaurants for pop-up locations, Construction teams add crucial details about their assignments, including location, floors and wings of a building, and job specifics, healthcare professionals manage patient rooms and assignments, transportation customers can track drivers and delivery personally optimizing route planning and ensuring timely deliveries. List goes on... Congrats Meg Burnton, Matt Petersen , Jahan Muhammad, Cully Wagner, Jake Schaker, Brianna Libby, Chris Meyers, Zach Hink and Zach Dunn for launching this feature!

Well we made it through yet another hot summer here in the desert climes of Arizona. The 110 degree + daily temperatures have challenged our public transit management day-to-day responsibilities while best serving our transit customers. Many thanks to our professional operations and maintenance staff. Now is the best time to prepare our bus fleets for upcoming seasons. Our consistency in quality service delivery is contingent upon maintenance planning and accountability. This effort involves improvement by standardizing maintenance technician service delivery. Doing so requires assigning standard repair time to each work assignment, assuring that quality assurance inspection of work becomes a shop norm and so much more. This effort consistently results in improved bus availability and reliability. Our bus fleets will look and run better at a lower cost per mile. I have been gradually introducing this concept I developed during my very successful transit career with the assistance of other transit professionals. My website techpro.plus spells out in detail what I have learned and how it applies to public transit fleet maintenance. Not to be confused as a sales pitch but a helpful hand in filling the need of improving public transit. Feel free to view my website and offer your feedback. techpro.plus
